GEEKNOTE: As I write this, we are in the first weekend of the annual Chasco Fiesta.
There are a broad range of opinions on Chasco, with most of the negative ones related to alcohol abuse and a lack of respect for private property, particularly during the street parade. Some folks don't need much of an excuse to get drunk and act stupid and this year was no exception.
There are some parts of Chasco that are definitely worth enjoying. I just walked back from watching an exhibition of fancy dancing at the Native American arena. Absolutely amazing!

The music once again this year is top flight and everything is free except for Country Music concert next Saturday night.
I've already had enough BBQ this weekend to send my bad cholesterol numbers skyward. We're not going to talk about the weight gain from the funnel cakes and deep fried twinkies. The diet starts after NEXT weekend.

I'd like to encourage you to check out Chasco and come down each evening to enjoy the different musical acts that will be performing. There is a complete list on the Chasco Fiesta website and we've got flyers here in the store.
You also don't want to miss next Saturday afternoon's annual Chasco Boat Parade. Sims Park is a great place to watch the parade, but there are lots of good locations along the Grand Blvd River Park south of Mass Avenue as well.
If you get invited to one of the numerous boat parade parties hosted by folks with homes on the river, that is even better.
Last, but certainly not least, help us and the other downtown merchants who endure three weeks of Chasco traffic snarls each year by dropping by our stores and spending money.
As always, feel free to drop me a note or give me a call if you have any questions about your computer or the Internet.
