GEEKNOTE: Fun Resources To Check Out
A couple of cool places to visit and learn something.

GEEKNOTE: A couple of pretty cool websites came to my attention this past week.
The first one is TED (http://www.ted.com), which provides some pretty cool talks by some pretty cool people. An example is Colin Powell talking about why kids need structure.
If you are looking for something a little more geeky, then Robin Chase, founder of Zipcar, talks about the concept of non-car ownership.

There are literally hundreds of these videos on the TED site. Check it out.
Another site that I heard about this past week at Business Development Week and my son also mentioned over the weekend is iTunes-U. It is exactly what it sounds like. Free and low cost online college classes from some of the best known colleges and universities in the country. You need to download and install iTunes on your computer and then go to the iTunes Store and select iTunes-U to get to the listings.

An example of iTunes-U content from a local source is a series on "What Great Bosses Know" by Jill Geisler of the Poyntner Institute. There are dozens of segments (125 total), each a few minutes long, and all free.
Instead of spending all your time playing facebook games or soaking up misinformation from some conspiracy theory website, check out these two sites and expand your mind.
Feel free to drop me a note or give me a call if you have any questions about your computer.
