Concealed Weapon Found During Routine Traffic Stop

During the traffic stop, the deputy discovered the driver had no valid driver's license and the car was not registered.

PORT RICHEY, FLβ€”A Tampa man is facing multiple charges after being pulled over by Pasco County Sheriff’s deputies during a routine traffic stop Monday.

Allen Wayne Wehrheim, 55, of 114 N. Newport Ave., Tampa, was pulled over at U.S. 19 and Commons Boulevard in Port Richey after a patrol deputy noticed his car had a cracked windshield that was obstructing the driver’s view.

During the traffic stop, the deputy discovered that Wehrheim had no valid driver’s license and the car was not registered. During a search of the car, the deputy also found a knife hidden beneath the passenger seat.

Wehrheim was charged with driving without a license and valid registration and for carrying a concealed weapon.
