Donation Drive for Salvation Army Domestic Violence Program Begins at Pasco Tax Collector's Office

The five tax collector offices in Pasco County will all be accepting donations throughout the month of January.

Pasco Tax Collector Mike Fasano announces that his office has begun a Donation Drive for the Salvation Army Domestic Violence Program. The five tax collector offices in Pasco County (West Pasco Government Center, Gulf Harbors, Central Pasco Government Center – Land O’ Lakes, East Pasco Government Center - Dade City and Wesley Chapel) will all be accepting donations throughout the month of January.

“No one should have to suffer abuse,” states Captain Ken Fagan, Pasco Salvation Army Corps Officer. “As individuals and a community we have a responsibility to do what we can to end domestic violence. The Pasco County Salvation Army Domestic Violence Program is proud to be a partner in providing help services to victims of abuse and domestic violence.”

The Salvation Army Domestic Violence Program provides a host of services to victims in Pasco County. Services include emergency food and clothing, safety planning, emergency shelter, a 24 hour crisis Hotline, support groups for women and children, crisis intervention, personal and legal advocacy, 911 Cell Phone Program, and assistance with victims compensation/relocation.

“The value of the assistance the Salvation Army provides to victims of abuse and violence is immeasurable,” comments Tax Collector Mike Fasano. “Our office is proud to support this outstanding organization. The staff and volunteers of the Salvation Army’s Domestic Violence Program truly change the lives of victims who seek help. I encourage everyone who visits any of our offices during the month of January to leave a donation in one of our collection jars. All funds raised will go directly to the Salvation Army Domestic Violence Program.”
