Driver Arrested After Hitting New Port Richey Home
When deputies activated lights and sirens, the car accelerated before losing control and driving into a house at 5903 Central Ave.

NEW PORT RICHEY, FLβAn 18-year-old Port Richey resident is in Pasco County Sheriffβs custody after reportedly trying to elude deputies and resisting arrest.
In the early morning hours of Wednesday, Dec. 13, deputies noticed a white Volkswagen traveling at a high speed along Florida Avenue in New Port Richey. When deputies activated lights and sirens, signaling the car to stop, the car accelerated, turning north on Harrison Street and west on Central Avenue before losing control and driving into a house at 5903 Central Ave.
According to deputies, the occupants fled from the car and a sheriffβs K-9 was sent to track them. The deputies caught up with the Volkswagenβs driver, Daniel Alexander Rosario of 7724 Judith Crescent, Port Richey, at the intersection of Adams Street and Central Avenue, and placed him under arrest. He is being held in the Land Oβ Lakes Detention Center on a $5,000 bond.
