Diabetes Health Seminar and Screening

Morton Plant North Bay Hospital invites the community to join internal medicine physician, Marcos Garcia, MD, to learn more about the risks of developing diabetes and ways to reduce the risks with lifestyle changes including physical activity and proper nutrition. Diabetes is a group of diseases characterized by high blood glucose levels that result from defects in the body's ability to produce or use insulin. An estimated 25 million Americans live with diabetes and up to one-third of American adults will have diabetes by 2050, according to the American Diabetes Association.
