GEEKNOTE: We jumped ahead this morning, losing an hour's sleep. I remember an explanation of Daylight Savings Time from back when I was a kid: It is sort of like cutting the end off a blanket and sewing it onto the other end to make the blanket longer...
More recently (this morning), I saw a facebook post asking why we always do this spring forward in the middle of the night instead of at, say 4:00pm on a Friday afternoon when it would be appreciated by everyone ready to start the weekend.
I've been puzzling over this all day and I can't see a downside to doing it at 4:00pm on a Friday.
How about you?
