Holiday Man Gets Life For Shooting Death Of Neighbor

HOLIDAY, FL -- A Holiday man has been sentenced to life in prison for the fatal shooting of his neighbor Jan. 23, 2018.

Qiu Ke, 62, was sentenced to life last week after a Pasco jury found him guilty of first-degree murder.

Qiu said he killed his Beacon Square neighbor, 37-year-old Edward Tudor, after he bullied, harassed and tormented Qiu for two years by banging on his walls and preventing his from sleeping. His defense attorneys argued for a lesser penalty, claiming Qiu actions were not premeditated.

The Pasco County Sheriff's Office was called to 3519 Richboro Drive at 12:22 p.m. Jan. 23, 2018, and found Tudor shot to death in his front yard.

Shortly after deputies arrived, Qiu walked out of his house at 3527 Richboro Drive carrying two magazines of ammunition. Pasco Sheriff Chris Nocco said Qiu admitted to deputies he was responsible for the shooting.

According to the sheriff, Tudor was in his house studying when Qiu approached his front door carrying two loaded handguns. Qiu told sheriff's deputies that he opened fire on Tudor when he answered his door. He said he continued shooting as Tudor crawled outside into his front yard.

Deputies said an unnamed woman, also a resident, was in the home at the time of the shooting. Qui told deputies he planned to shoot her as well and then hang himself.

Born in China, Qui purchased the home on Richboro Drive in 2014, according to the Pasco County Property Appraiser's Office. Tudor owned his home since 2009.
