Holiday Man Seriously Injured In Head-On Crash On U.S. 19
A 63-year-old Holiday man was seriously injured Wednesday, May 2, in a reported an accident at U.S. 19 and Darlington Road.
HOLIDAY, FL β A 63-year-old Holiday man was seriously injured Wednesday, May 2, in a reported an accident at U.S. 19 and Darlington Road in which one man was charged with being under the influence of drugs.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Rashad Xavier Wesley, 20, of New Port Richey was driving north on U.S. 19 approaching Darlington Road, at about 7:20 a.m.
James Earl Swope, 63, of Holiday had stopped his 2000 Chevrolet in the southbound turn lane of U.S. 19 at Darlington Road.

Troopers say Wesley swerved into the intersection and began traveling north in the southbound lanes of U.S. 19 where he collided with Swope head on.
Swope was taken to Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point in Hudson for treatment of serious injuries.
