'Hot Man' Sighting Prompted Bathroom Recording, Deputies Say

A Port Richey man faces criminal charges following the incident at a miniature golf course over the weekend.

A customer at Port Richey’s Congo River miniature golf course noticed something funny when he entered the men’s room Saturday afternoon.

As he was standing at the urinal, he spotted a cell phone underneath a sink that was set to record use of the facilities. Creeped out, the victim notified the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, which, in turn, sent a deputy out to the 10555 U.S. 19 entertainment center.

When the deputy arrived, he made short work of finding a suspect, a probable cause affidavit in the case stated. A 28-year-old man was quickly brought into custody on a charge of video voyeurism.

When asked about the crime, the man told the deputy he did in fact set his phone to record in the bathroom because “he saw a hot man,” the affidavit stated.
