TAMPA, FL — After two years of cancellations and modifications, residents in cities and counties across the country are looking forward to many of the traditional Independence Day activities that mark the summer holiday.
Patriotic Ride And Roll
Celebrate Independence Day at the 2022 Patriotic Ride and Roll through downtown New Port Richey Saturday, July 2 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Patriotic decorated bicycles, scooters and golf carts are welcome to participate in the parade, which will line up at Railroad Square and begin rolling at 11 a.m.

Check-in is at Fitzgerald's Irish Tavern at 10 a.m.
The parade will have a police escort for safety reasons.

Florida law requires those 16 years and younger on bicycles and scooters to wear helmets.
Throwing beads or candy or having open contains is prohibited.
The event is hosted by New Port Richey Main Street Inc.

Port Richey 4th Of July Celebration
The city of Port Richey will host a Fourth of July fireworks celebration at Waterfront Park in Port Richey, 8207 Old Post Road, on Saturday, July 2.
The park will open at 6 p.m. and fireworks will begin at 9 p.m. Be sure to arrive early. Parking is limited. Alcohol is prohibited in all city of Port Richey parks.
Zephyrhills Summerfest
Zephyrhills will host its seventh annual Summerfest Saturday, July 2, from noon to 9 p.m. at Zephyr Park, featuring a 30-minute fireworks show over Zephyr Lake.
There will be food trucks and vendor booths from local restaurants.
Attendees can enjoy live music performances on the stage all day.
In addition, there will be a kids' zone with bounce houses, water slides and family games to cool everyone down. Wristbands sold for the kids' zone will benefit local charities.

Lutz 4th Of July Parade, Guv'na Race
Lutz will host a Fourth of July celebration Monday, July 4, at the Lutz Civic Center, 101 W. Lutz Lake Fern Road and U.S. 41.
The day will include the annual Lutz parade at 10 a.m. Prior to the parade, there will be a Jazzercise warm-up at 7:15 a.m., races at 8 a.m., a 1-mile fun run at 8:45 a.m., a flag ceremony with Boy Scout Troop 12 and the Civil Air Patrol at 9 a.m., the national anthem by Carmen Rae and a prayer by Paul Vahue at 9 a.m., a "Welcome Back" by GFWC Lutz-Land-O'Lakes Woman's Club President Elayne Bassinger, and registration for the cake-baking contest and race trophies presented at the historic Lutz Train Depot at 9:30 a.m.
Following the parade at the Lutz Train Depot, current Lutz Guv'na Amy Lancaster will be honored and current Lutz Guv'na candidates Atlas Cortecero, David Penzer and Stacee Campbell will be introduced followed by the inauguration of the 2022 Lutz Guv'na. Parade trophies will be awarded as well.
A cake auction fundraiser will take place at the north end of the Lutz Civic Center.

Starkey Market Patriotic Celebration
Starkey Market, 3460 Starkey Blvd., New Port Richey, will host an evening of food, fireworks and music playing on the stage all evening on Monday, July 4, starting at 5 p.m.
The barn and market will both be open, serving local beer, fine wines, ice cream, coffee, smoothies and more.
There will be multiple gourmet food trucks on hand as well as Trough menu items at Starkey Market.
Bring your own chairs and blankets to enjoy the music in the field, but no coolers, outside food or beverages are permitted.
Tickets are limited. The cost is $25 for adults and $10 for veterans and active-duty military, as well as children age 7 and up. Children age 6 and under are admitted for free.
