Man Facing Child Porn Charges After Taking Computer In For Repair

An 85-year-old Holiday resident who took his computer to a repair shop is now facing 10 counts of possessing child pornography.

HOLIDAY, FL β€” An 85-year-old Holiday resident who took his computer to a repair shop is now facing 10 counts of possessing child pornography.

According to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office, Myron Joseph Mall of 4929 Lakeridge Lane took his computer to a repair shop to be fixed on April 26. While working on the computer, the repair shop owner saw what appeared to be images of naked children and called the sheriff's office.

When questioned by deputies, Mall admitted there were images of naked children on his computer but said they weren't sexual. He agreed to allow the sheriff''s office to search the computer and detectives found several images that were "sexual in nature" of girls under the age of 18.

Mall was arrested May 7 and remains in the Land O' Lakes Detention Center in lieu of a $50,000 bond.
