New Port Richey 10-Year-Old Struck By 2 Cars Expected To Survive
A 10-year-old boy who was struck by a car and then run over by another car is listed in stabled condition at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa.

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL -- A 10-year-old boy who was struck by a car and then run over by another car is listed in stabled condition at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, on Friday, Aug. 31, the boy was running south down the sidewalk of Madison Street.
Austin Rumberger, 18, was driving north on Madison Street approaching the intersection of 12th Avenue. Christopher Bert, 41, was traveling south on Madison Street, approaching the same intersection.

According to troopers, the boy ran into the road across the southbound lane and was struck by Rumberger and then was run over by Bert.
The boy was flown to the trauma unit of St. Joseph's where he is expected to recover.
