NPR Chiropractor Develops Cold Laser Technique To Speed Recovery

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL -- It's not a new treatment for pain. In fact, cold laser therapy has been around for nearly 50 years. But New Port Richey chiropractor Dr. Scott Coletti of Baywest Health & Rehab has developed a new cold laser technique that is not only alleviating pain but is speeding up the healing process in patients.

Cold laser therapy deals with the power of a low light laser that interacts with cellular function. By adjusting the wavelengths from the equipment, it is possible to change the cells which help amplify the healing process.

Practitioners like Coletti said it offers advantages over mainstream forms of treatment because there is no need for medication, it is non-invasive and has little or no contraindications.

Coletti and his team also have developed hundreds of protocols and created a database for the use of cold laser therapy to help joint pain and conditions such as arthritis in the back, neck and extremities of the body like the knee, hands, elbows, hips and feet.

Using the database, Coletti can input information on the patient's pain levels, age, skin type and condition, and then calculate an appropriate treatment plan including the optimum settings for the cold laser equipment.

Using these protocols, Coletti has had more than an 85 percent success rate with patients.

Coletti is now making these protocols available to doctors around the world through his newly founded company, Cold Laser Protocols, which offers monthly subscriptions.
