Pasco Deputies Make Arrest In Multiple Shooting In Hudson

Pasco County Sheriff's detectives have arrested a Hudson man in connection with the shooting of two people during a drug deal gone bad.

HUDSON, FL -- Pasco County Sheriff's detectives have arrested a Hudson man in connection with the shooting of two people during a drug deal gone bad at the Hudson Ridgestone Apartment complex in Hudson (see related story).

Anthony Blount, 21, 12424 Hicks Road, has been charged with one count of second-degree murder and one count of attempted murder.

Part of the shooting at 7:55 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, was captured by security video at the apartment. According to detectives, Ariel Felder, 38435 Tucker Ave., Zephyrhills, driving a white Nissan Altima, pulled into the parking lot next to a red Durango driven by Blount..

Two black males, one identified as Jamarques Codling, 14843 Hormuth Street, Dade City, and the other still unidentified, exited the white Nissan and entered the red Durango.

Approximately one minute later, the two black males ran from the red Durango and got back into the white Nissan. The Nissan attempted to back out of the parking space. Blount exited from the driver`s side of the red Durango holding a hand gun and began chasing after the black males. Blount reportedly fired at least 13 rounds into the white Nissan, striking Felder in the back of the head. Felder pressed the accelerator and the car crashed into the apartment building.

Codling then left the white Nissan and ran toward the red Durango while firing rounds from a handgun in Blount's direction.

Blount fled the scene in the red Durango. At some point during the altercation, Codling received a gunshot wound and was later pronounced dead. Blount also received two gunshot wounds during the altercation. Felder remains in critical condition.

A large bag of marijuana was found in the parking lot.
