Pasco Firefighters Battle 2-Alarm Fire At Recycling Center

Pasco County Fire Rescue remains on the scene of a fire at a recycling center in the 8200 block of Galen Wilson Boulevard in Port Richey.

PORT RICHEY, FL – Pasco County Fire Rescue was called out to a two-alarm fire at a recycling center in the 8200 block of Galen Wilson Boulevard in Port Richey.

The fire broke out about 2:50 p.m. Friday, April 6, at National Waste Management Systems.

When firefighters arrived, they reported heavy smoke and flames coming from inside the warehouse. Firefighters started an attack using a ladder company, and ground crews dumped approximately 2,000 gallons of water a minute into the warehouse. It took approximately 90 minutes to bring the fire under control.

There were no injuries, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
