Pasco Investigators Look Into Cause Of Early-Morning Blaze

Pasco County Fire Rescue personnel are investigating the cause of a house fire that swept through a home at 6873 Alken Circle.

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL -- Pasco County Fire Rescue personnel are investigating the cause of a house fire that swept through a home at 6873 Alken Circle during the early-morning hours of Wednesday, Feb. 14.

According to fire rescue personnel, the fire was reported at 2:25 a.m. When units arrived, they found heavy smoke pouring out of the home and a strong blaze inside, prompting a two-alarm response.

The house was occupied by three women. Two were able to escape unscathed. The third was removed from the house by fire crews and transported to a local burn unit.
