Pasco Sheriff's Deputies On Lookout For Home Invader

A man knocked on the door of a home in Holiday just after 8 p.m. and demanded money from the resident.

HOLIDAY, FL – An attempted home invasion Wednesday, Jan. 30, has left a Holiday woman in fear for her life.

According to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, a man knocked on the door of a home on Devonshire Drive in Holiday just after 8 p.m. When the victim answered, the man, a stranger to the victim, tried to force his way into the house.

The robber told the victim he had a gun and would shoot her if she didn’t give him money. The woman began to scream for help and struggled with the would-be robber to prevent him from closing the front door.

Her efforts to draw the attention of her neighbors forced the home invader to give up. But, before he left, he threatened to return and shoot her.

The man got into the passenger side of a dark-colored car and left the neighborhood.

The victim was able to provide a description of her attacker for the sheriff’s sketch artist. He is described as white, about 50 years old, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall with a muscular build, salt and pepper-colored hair cut in a military-style crew cut and wearing a Valor-brand jacket.

Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for information that leads to the identification and arrest of the home invader. Anyone with any information who wants to be eligible for the cash reward should call Crime Stoppers at (800) 873-TIPS (8477) or report anonymously online.
