Pasco Tax Collector Mike Fasano Announces the Launch of “Hospice: Every Day is a Gift” Specialty Tag Month
Pasco County Tax Collector Mike Fasano announces that his office will promote the “Hospice: Every Day is a Gift” specialty license plate during the month of March. The plate benefits the Florida Hospice and Palliative Care Association and is sponsored locally by Gulfside Hospice & Pasco Palliative Care. Gulfside Hospice & Pasco Palliative Care provides quality end-of-life care for individuals who have a prognosis of six months or less. Additionally, assistance is provided for pain and symptom control with chronic illness at any age.
Customers who wish to purchase a specialty tag will pay a fee above the normal renewal cost for the plate. For the “Hospice: Every Day is a Gift” tag, the fee is a once a year donation of $25. Customers may also choose to make a charitable donation to the Florida Hospice and Palliative Care Association, which benefits hospice services locally and statewide, through a direct cash donation accepted at the tax collector’s office.
“By purchasing the Hospice specialty license plate, you help create awareness and access to care and service when our Pasco County residents need it most,” states Linda Ward, president of Gulfside Hospice & Pasco Palliative Care. “Gulfside Hospice and Pasco Palliative Care is honored to sponsor this initiative, and we are here to assist in making each day count.”

“I encourage vehicle owners to consider purchasing the “Hospice: Every Day is a Gift” tag for their vehicles when they come into our office for renewal,” Tax Collector Mike Fasano suggests. “Hospice care is a vital and extremely important service that has touched the lives of nearly every individual or family in some way. Displaying the “Hospice: Every Day is a Gift” tag on your vehicle will show other drivers you support the important programs and services offered by Gulfside Hospice & Pasco Palliative Care and other hospice programs throughout the community.”
The tag promotion runs through the entire month of March. The tags will be available for purchase in the four locations in Pasco County where tags are sold: New Port Richey, Gulf Harbors, Land O’ Lakes and Dade City. For more information about the tag promotion, please contact Greg Giordano, Director of Customer Relations, at the tax collector’s office: 727-847- 8179.
