Port Richey Man Arrested After Directing Traffic
The accused activated fake emergency lights on his car, telling witnesses he was a first responder.

PORT RICHEY, FL--A Port Richey man is facing charges after pretending to be a law enforcement officer and directing traffic at the intersection of Tudor Lane and Yorkshire Court in Port Richey.
According to the Pasco County Sheriffβs Office, Edward Bowen Forrest Shelley, 32, of 7167 Tudor Lane, Port Richey, reportedly parked his 2001 Ford Excursion at the intersection Friday, Dec. 8 at about 8 p.m. He proceeded to activate a red light on top of the Excursion, blue lights on the side mirrors and a white light bar in the windshield, and began to direct traffic.
Shelley told three witnesses that he was a first responder. He was charged with impersonating an officer.
