Speeding Driver Killed, Passenger Seriously Injured In Pasco County Crash: FL Troopers
Speed was a factor in the single-vehicle Hudson-area crash and neither the driver or the passenger were wearing seatbelts, FL troopers said.
HUDSON, FL β A speeding driver died and his passenger was seriously injured after he lost control of his car Monday afternoon in the Hudson area, the Florida Highway Patrol said in a news release.
Neither was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, investigators said.
A 37-year-old Hudson man was speeding as he headed east on Beagle Road before losing control of his Saturn sedan east of Orwell Road around 4:40 p.m.

He drove off the road into the shoulder, and then hit a telephone box, a fence and a tree, troopers said.
The driver was partially ejected from the car and died at the scene.

His passenger, a 40-year-old Spring HIll woman, was brought to an area hospital with serious injuries.
