Stay-At-Home Mom Found Passed Out With 5-Year-Old In Car

A New Port Richey stay-at-home mom has been arrested for child neglect after she was discovered passed out in her car with her 5-year-old.

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL – A New Port Richey stay-at-home mom has been arrested for child neglect after she was discovered passed out in her car with her 5-year-old daughter in the back seat.

According to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, Sarah Elizabeth Nisse, 30, was found in the car with her daughter Aug. 28 just before 6 p.m. when the little girl answered a cellphone call from her father.

The father spoke to his daughter on FaceTime and was able to see where the car was parked. He located it in the parking lot of 2509 Success Drive in New Port Richey.

The father immediately removed his daughter from the car and called 911. Deputies arrived on scene and found Nisse still passed out in the driver's seat. Nisse was transported to the Medical Center of Trinity because she appeared to be heavily intoxicated. Her blood alcohol content was .276.

She was cleared by medical staff and deputies arrested her for child neglect, violation of probation (felony), and DUI.

Nisse is on probation for willful child neglect in reference to a case in 2015 in which she was accused of having sexual intercourse with a 15-year-old.
