Tax Collector Mike Fasano Announces $9,937.86 Raised for Sertoma Speech and Hearing Foundation

Pasco County Tax Collector Mike Fasano announces that $9,937.86 was raised during the office’s May promotion on behalf of the Sertoma Speech and Hearing Foundation.  Through the generosity of 3613 residents of our community 13,000 students in our schools will benefit from speech and hearing services. 

“The Sertoma Speech and Hearing Foundation would like to thank Mike Fasano and the entire tax collector’s staff for making May an outstanding month for our Children’s Hearing Help Fund voluntary check off on driver license and motor vehicle registrations,” states Craig McCart, Executive Director of the Sertoma Speech and Hearing Foundation of Florida.  “We have not seen this kind of success since 2009.  A big thank you to the 3613 Pasco County residents that contributed.  Your support will make a difference in the lives of many children in Pasco County.” 

During the month of May the Pasco County Tax Collector’s Office shined the spotlight on the Sertoma Speech and Hearing Foundation as its featured charitable organization.  Through the voluntary registration and renewal check-offs, as well as direct cash donations, the Sertoma Speech and Hearing Foundation has been the recipient of more cash donations than any featured charity since Tax Collector Mike Fasano started the charitable organization promotion in 2013. 

“Thank you to everyone who took the time to donate to the Sertoma Speech and Hearing Foundation during the month of May,” states Tax Collector Mike Fasano.  “This fine community organization has a long track record of providing valuable services to children with speech and hearing concerns.  The funds raised through this promotion will go a long way towards ensuring that each child in need will be screened for hearing impairments and speech difficulties.”
