The crater did not enlarge overnight. Geologist, building inspectors requested to examine the property. Listen to 911 call.

PASCO COUNTY, FL – The sizable "depression" under a Holiday home's foundation did not expand overnight, and a request for a geologist's review was made through the Florida Division of Emergency Management to determine whether the hole is, in fact, technically a "sinkhole," according to the Pasco Sheriff's Office.

Pasco County Fire Rescue, Emergency Management and the Sheriff's Office are handling a large "depression" that appeared Monday afternoon in the ground beneath a house's foundation on the 5000 block of Genesis Avenue in Holiday, according to officials.

The hole is estimated to be 25 feet to 30 feet wide and approximately 10 feet deep, the Pasco Sheriff's Office said, and a 100-foot safety perimeter was secured around the property.
