1 Dead, 6 Injured After Dispute Leads To Orlando Shooting: Reports

Media reports say the shooting happened after an altercation over a car escalated in Orlando's Rosemont community.

ORLANDO, FL — An altercation over a car not being returned on time ended in a shooting that killed a man and injured six other people Wednesday night in Orlando's Rosemont community, per media reports.

The shooting happened around 11 p.m. near Iron Wedge Drive and South Lake, WESH 2 reported.

USA Today reported the man who died in the shooting was identified as James Jerry Dawn William III, 21. The six people who were injured were stable and were expected to survive, the outlet reported.

The shooting was the second time police were called to the scene. Both outlets reported police responded around 3 p.m. due to a confrontation with the same group of people.
