Body Believed To Be Missing Florida Woman Miya Marcano: Sheriff
The Orange County Sheriff's Office discovered the body Saturday at an Orlando apartment complex. Marcano has been missing since Sept. 24.

ORLANDO, FL — A body discovered Saturday at an Orlando apartment complex is believed to be the remains of Miya Marcano, a 19-year-old college student who was reported missing just over a week ago.
Orange County Sheriff John Mina confirmed the discovery during a Saturday news conference.
"This is not the update that I wanted to give everyone," Mina said. "Our hearts are broken."

A search team found the human remains around 10:45 a.m. Saturday in a wooded area near Tymber Skan on the Lake Condominiums, Mina said.
The Cell phone records of Armando Caballero, who was named a person of interest in the case, led the team to the site, Mina said. The records showed Caballero was near the site for about 20 minutes the night Marcano was reported missing.

The discovery concludes a search that brought together the FBI and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, who together searched three counties for the missing woman.
Caballero, 27, was a maintenance worker at the apartment complex where Marcano lived and worked, Fox 29 reported. Marcano had repeatedly "rebuffed" romantic advances by Caballero, according to the news station. While detectives spoke to Caballero after Marcano was reported missing, he was not arrested at the time.
Authorities obtained a warrant for Caballero's arrest after learning he had entered Marcano's apartment prior to her disappearance, Fox 29 reported. Police later found Caballero dead after seemingly taking his own life.
A purse containing Miya's ID was also found near the body, Mina said.
A cause of death has not been identified, authorities said. Positive identification of the body will come via the county medical examiner.
