Brazilian Women Leaders Visit Orlando City Hall During Women’s History Month
ORLANDO, Fla., March 10, 2026 — Honorees of the International Women of Leadership and Courage Award, organized by the Midia America Group, participated in an institutional visit to Orlando City Hall on Monday, marking a historic moment for the Brazilian community in the United States.
During the visit, organizers presented a book commemorating nine years of the International Women’s Day celebration organized annually by Midia America, recognizing the leadership and contributions of women honored through the initiative. The delegation also presented the original artwork that inspired the book’s cover, created by Brazilian artist Adriana Moa.

The group was received by Luis Martinez, Multicultural Affairs Director for the City of Orlando, and Andrea Otero, press officer for the City of Orlando, who was born in Brazil and has lived in the United States for 37 years. Also present during the presentation was Claudia Menezes, a member of the Visit Orlando Board of Directors.
The visit took place during Women’s History Month, officially recognized by the City of Orlando from March 1 through March 31 through a proclamation issued by Mayor Buddy Dyer, highlighting the contributions and impact of women in society.

A total of 32 of the 54 women honored in this year’s award program participated in the City Hall visit. The institutional visit was coordinated by Vanessa Caetano Salmeron, CEO of the Midia America Group and Director of Relations and Networking at ABI Inter – Brazilian International Press Association.
