“Our plan was for the address to be a celebration of togetherness and a return to normal after a challenging 20 months,” said Mayor Dyer. “There are many reasons to still be excited about the future of our city, but it is critical right now that we focus on providing information and access to help those who haven’t been vaccinated get their shot as soon as possible. The potential impacts of the virus, which include serious illness and death, far exceed the risks of any adverse vaccine reactions and it’s important that residents in our community know that.”
