FL Bear Cub Stuck In Tree Rescued By Biologist: FWC
A bear cub got his back paw stuck in a tree and needed rescuing, the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission said.

FLORIDA — A bear cub who got his “back paw solidly stuck in the crook of a tree” needed a bit of help getting out of the “unusual predicament,” the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission wrote in a Facebook post.
The agency called in a bear biologist to assist “the poor lil’ guy.” FWC didn’t say where the cub was found.
An FWC officer and biologist spent two hours working to release the bear, trying to pry the tree limbs apart, moving him in various directions and even soaking his leg in dish soap.

“But nothing worked,” FWC said. “As a last resort, our officer found a local resident who lent … (them) a chainsaw. As our biologist safely held the bear as still as possible, our officer was able to cut one of the tree limbs entrapping the cub.”
After the bear was released, they checked to make sure that he wasn’t injured and ensured that he reunited with his mother.
