FL Boy, 8, Accused Of Cutting Child's Throat, Choking Him: Reports

CLERMONT, FL — An 8-year-old boy is accused of using a kitchen knife to cut another child's throat in Lake County, according to multiple reports citing the Lake County Sheriff's Office.

According to an arrest affidavit obtained by WESH, police were called to a Clermont home where they discovered the 8-year-old had choked the victim, a foster child at the residence.

The boy let the victim go before grabbing a kitchen knife and swinging at the child, cutting his throat, WESH reported.

Investigators learned a neighbor eventually took the weapon from the boy, who became angry and threatened to kill everyone before going into the home to find another knife, Fox 35 reported.

The boy was taken to Lake County Detention Center on charges including aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, battery by strangulation, and aggravated assault, according to Fox 35.
