ORLANDO, FL — A woman from Orlando who was trying to help a young boy instead found a hefty sum leaving her bank account.

A boy approached Shannon Fraser, who was walking her dog in the Baldwin Park area over the weekend, asking to use her phone to contact his family. On Monday, she received a notification from the Venmo app that transfers of $2,000 and $1,800 were approved from her bank account, according to a report from NBC Orlando.

Fraser said the Venmo account the funds were transferred to was created 30 minutes before she ran into the boy, according to the report.
