Invitation to Attend RootsTech Conference

The global RootsTech Conference 2023 will be held March 2-4th. Virtual registration to the Conference is free. RootsTech by FamilySearch.com is excited to announce actor and Academy Award-nominated director Sean Astin as a keynote speaker for RootsTech 2023. His keynote will be held in-person on Saturday, 4 March, in Salt Lake City, Utah, and broadcast online for a global audience. Astin is well-known by people of all ages through his various roles on the big screen, including in The Lord of the Rings, The Goonies, Rudy, and more.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has announced that the theme of RootsTech 2023 is uniting. Jonathan H. Wing, RootsTech creative manager observed: “Everything we do is about uniting — bringing people together, bringing the industry together, bringing technology and innovation together. It’s also about uniting families past and present.”

RootsTech Conference classes include a new tool for discovering cousins worldwide, how to create your family tree, and a tool for seeing if you are related to famous public figures, The Conference will include over 200 on demand class sessions covering many genealogy topics. Jen Allen, director of events at FamilySearch said, “It’s about connecting. We’re here to really help you connect with your family first and foremost.”
