Centered around criminal attorney Jane Smith who receives a terminal diagnosis, the novel, which was released on Monday, September 25, has prompted Patterson and Lupica to deem Smith the “best character we’ve ever created.” When the ex-NYPD cop receives the news, she must race against the clock - and her own client - to make the most of the time she has left.

The novel is just the latest in a long list of releases from Patterson. From Alex Cross, the Women’s Murder Club, Michael Bennett, and Maximum Ride, it’s no wonder he’s the world’s best-selling author. Alongside his #1 autobiography, James Patterson by James Patterson he has also collaborated on novels with Bill Clinton and Dolly Parton and has won an Edgar Award, nine Emmy Awards, and the National Humanities Medal. His co-author Mike Lupica is an award-winning columnist for the New York Daily News and has written 17 New York Times bestsellers.
