Man, 83, Dies On Disney World Ride After Likely Heart Attack
Joseph Masters died while he and his wife were riding the PeopleMover at Magic Kingdom in Orlando, according to Orange County authorities.

ORLANDO, FL — A Florida man died after suffering a possible heart attack while riding the PeopleMover at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, according to an Orange County Sheriff's Office report.
Joseph Masters, 83, of Palm Coast, died Sept. 25 while he and his wife were riding the Tomorrowland Transit Authority's PeopleMover at Magic Kingdom, authorities said in an incident report. Masters fainted during the ride, his wife told police, prompting her to ask for help.
Police were called to the park shortly after 4:15 p.m. According to authorities, Disney staff and security attempted CPR on Masters after the ride stopped.

Masters was taken to Celebration Hospital where he was later pronounced dead, police said.
Authorities later learned Masters had several medical diagnoses, including hypertension and diabetes. He also had an implanted pacemaker, police said. A medical evaluation found Masters also had a large artery blockage near the right side of his heart, which may have caused him to have a heart attack.

Authorities said Masters died due to natural causes.
