Park Maitland School to Host Open House on July 17
Prospective families will have the opportunity to tour the campus, meet administrators and learn more about Park Maitland's programs
Park Maitland School will host an open house on Wednesday, July 17 at 9 a.m. Prospective families are invited to attend the event to tour the campus, meet administrators and learn more about Park Maitland’s program. Children who attend the open house will have the opportunity to participate in a fun make-and-take activity in Park Maitland’s state-of-the-art Tinkering Lab, which is the perfect place for K4 (Pre-K), K5 (kindergarten), first grade and second grade students to participate in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, the arts and mathematics) activities and challenges. In the Tinkering Lab, students collaborate with their classmates and teachers while learning about the engineering design process (ask, imagine, plan, create, improve and communicate) and repurposing materials, making models and creating.
Park Maitland School’s technology programs are project-based and encourage students to learn to think long term. The skills that students learn will prepare them to adapt and respond to our rapidly changing world. This foundation allows students to excel even as the tools, mediums and technology evolve.
