ORANGE COUNTY, FL — A South Florida man faces charges after trying to bring a gun, knife and ammunition into Disney springs last month.
Aaron Josue Lopez, 35, of Royal Palm Beach was visiting the Disney destination on May 27 when security guards in a parking garage entrance found the weapons in his bag, according to the arrest affidavit from Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
Security told OCSO that a security detection system went off when Lopez walked through it and he was sent to bag check for a secondary screening.

He told security guards who were about to check his bag that he had a folding knife in it. They asked to see the knife and told him they would still need to search the bag.
According to the affidavit, Lopez, who was holding his bag, then told security, “Oh, there’s something else in here besides a knife that I wanna put back in my car.”

As he turned around and walked away, he was stopped by a Disney employee and brought to speak with deputies.
A 9 mm gun, two Glock 19 magazines, a waistband holster and 48 rounds of ammunition were found in his bag, deputies said.
Lopez told them that the gun, which had no serial number, was a Glock clone and that he had a concealed carry permit, but none could be found through the law enforcement database.
He was charged with carrying a concealed firearm without a license, deputies said.
