Oviedo High School to Implement Additional Safety Notice (mysanfordherald.com) — Oviedo High School is tightening campus access for the 2026–27 year, closing the King Street gate during school hours and routing all vehicles through Pine Street and the main entrance. Families, students, and staff should expect new traffic patterns, restricted parking on King Street, and continued evening access for most events, with football games using Pine Street only. More details will be shared before school starts.

Oviedo's Swanson Drive Tax Office to Reopen as Private Tag Agency (wftv.com) — Oviedo residents who used the Swanson Drive tax office should prepare for it to reopen by the end of the month as a private tag agency that will charge an added service fee. For driver licenses, IDs, and other traditional tax collector services, locals will now need to visit the Winter Springs office on East State Road 434.

Oviedo woman injured by gel-blaster pellets fired by teens, according to police (wesh.com) — An Oviedo woman was hit by gel-blaster pellets while walking near the YMCA on Red Bug Lake Road, leading police to identify two teen suspects. Investigators later linked the same car and gel blaster to a similar incident in Winter Springs, and authorities say both suspects confessed.
   

4.
