Palm Beach says hard no to massive AI data center (latination.com) — Palm Beach County commissioners have halted a massive AI data center project near the Everglades, citing serious environmental, traffic, and energy concerns that could affect nearby Palm Beach communities. After strong pushback from residents, schools, and environmental groups, officials are now weighing a temporary moratorium on large data centers, a move that could shape future tech development and utility costs across the county.

State champs West Boca, Heritage square off; St. Thomas aims for eighth title in a row (sun-sentinel.com) — High school football kicks off with Palm Beach County's spotlight game: Glades Central visiting Palm Beach Central on Thursday evening, featuring major college recruits and a rising sophomore quarterback. The schedule also includes several other Palm Beach County matchups, giving local fans plenty of options to catch top-ranked teams and future college stars close to home.

Rising housing, insurance, and everyday costs are squeezing local budgets and forcing many residents into longer commutes or delayed homeownership to make ends meet.
