Authorities say multiple callers reported that 53-year-old Todd Wegrich confessed after fleeing, prompting a lengthy SWAT standoff before officers breached his seventh-floor room.

Trump offers to 'gift' West Palm Beach golf course to future presidents (wbal.com) — Palm Beach County officials are weighing a proposal from Donald Trump to turn his Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach into a permanent presidential golf course, at no cost to the federal government. 'Hello West Palm Beach!' – RTO World 2026 Recap (rtohq.org) — A major rent-to-own industry convention just wrapped up in West Palm Beach, bringing hundreds of professionals to town and channeling thousands of dollars in donated merchandise to Palm Beach County nonprofits like Vita Nova and Boys & Girls Clubs. Beyond networking and education, the gathering raised scholarship funds and left a tangible local impact before the event heads to Cleveland next year.

A New Exhibit from Historical Society of Palm Beach County, 'Shipwreck: Discovering Lost Treasures' (bocaratontribune.com) — Palm Beach County history buffs can soon explore local shipwreck stories when a free traveling exhibit from the Historical Society of Palm Beach County opens at Boca Raton's Spanish River Library. Running from late September through early November, the display uses interactive cubes and coastal artifacts to show how wrecks along our shoreline have shaped daily life, survival, and even treasure hunting.
