Lee Roy Selmon's Brings 75 Jobs to Palm Harbor

New sports bar restaurant set to open in mid-June.

Construction crews are putting the final touches on a new Lee Roy Selmon's in Palm Harbor. The restaurant, which is owned by NFL Hall of Famer, Lee Roy Selmon, is scheduled to open at 11am, June 14. It will be the sixth Lee Roy Selmon's restaurant in the Tampa Bay area. 

"We are ecstatic about being a part of the Palm Harbor community," said Lee Roy Selmon, who is also a former Tampa Bay Buccaneer

"We hope that families and sports fans alike will feel welcomed and appreciated at our new restaurant. We want them to enjoy our great food, energy, hospitality unique atmosphere and sophisticated sports experience," he said.

The Palm Harbor restaurant seats 243 and is a prototype that will be different than others in the chain. It will feature stadium style seating and will have three dozen TVs mounted throughout the restaurant, along with elevated sections so guests can have private parties. Corn toss games will also be available for guests to play for free on the outside patio.

The restaurant has hired 75 staff members for this new location. Lee Roy Selmon's will be the first business to open in the Park Avenue Shops complex which is located on US 19 in between Tampa and Alderman Roads.

Selmon is a well known member of the Tampa Bay community. He was the first Tampa Bay Buccaneer to be inducted in the NFL Hall of Fame. The crosstown expressway was also renamed the "Lee Roy Selmon Crosstown Expressway" in his honor. Selmon opened the first Lee Roy Selmon's restaurant in Tampa in 2000.
