Florida awards $9M to Pensacola for Navy ship module facilities at port (dredgewire.com) — Pensacola is set to receive $9 million from Florida's Job Growth Grant Fund to build two Navy ship module manufacturing facilities at the Port of Pensacola. The move brings the base into federal compliance while safeguarding prehistoric and historic materials uncovered on the installation. Volunteers from NAS Pensacola and UGA handled the large-scale transfer together.
