Woman Stabbed 5 Times In Pinellas Park Parking Lot: Police

Police say a woman was approached by another person, and they argued, which led to the woman suffering nonfatal stab wounds.

PINELLAS PARK, FL — Pinellas Park police are investigating a stabbing attack on a 23-year-old woman in the parking lot of an apartment complex.

According to police, at 9:30 p.m. Monday, the woman went to the 49th Street Apartments at 8400 49th St. N, Pinellas Park, to visit a friend. In the parking lot, she was confronted by a person and the two became embroiled in an argument.

During the argument, said police, the other person grabbed a sharp-edged weapon and stabbed the woman five times, then fled on foot.

Neither live at the apartment complex, said police.

The woman was taken to the hospital with injuries that are no life-threatening. Police said they know the identity of her attacker.
