PINELLAS PARK, FL — A 42-year-old Groveland City man died Tuesday after running into the back of an empty flatbed tractor trailer with his sports utility vehicle on an Interstate 275 exit ramp.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 7:45 a.m. a 46-year-old Daytona Beach man was drive on the northbound entrance ramp leading to I-275 from 118th Avenue North when he slowed to make a U-turn.

The SUV driver failed to see the truck slow down and collided with the rear of the trailer. He died at the scene.
