• Plant City Police Department launches A.I. dispatcher for non-emergency calls (fox13news.com) — Calling the Plant City Police Department's non-emergency line now connects many residents to AVA, a new AI-powered dispatcher that launched Monday. The system answers immediately in 35 languages, handles routine reports, and frees human dispatchers to focus on true emergencies, while any life-threatening situation is automatically transferred to live 911 personnel. 
• Humane Society of Tampa Bay treats dozens of abandoned rabbits (fox13news.com) — Park staff in Plant City discovered 24 abandoned domesticated rabbits, and local animal services rushed them to the Humane Society of Tampa Bay for emergency care. Three rabbits died, but 21 are recovering and will be spayed, neutered, and placed for adoption. Officials stress that dumping pets outdoors is deadly and urge residents to seek surrender help instead.
