• Good Samaritan uses life preserver to rescue driver trapped in lake after crash in Plantation (wsvn.com) — A driver escaped injury Monday morning after misjudging a turn near Northwest 55th Avenue in Plantation and plunging into a lake, where a quick-acting fellow driver and bystanders pulled her to safety using a memorial life ring. Fire rescue crews responded, removed the car from the water, and highlighted how the life preserver program, created in memory of teen hero Aden Perry, helped avert tragedy.
