• Lifeguards rescue baby sea turtle during record nesting season (wftv.com) — A rescued baby sea turtle from Volusia County's beaches is now recovering at the Marine Science Center in Ponce Inlet, where staff are handling a record nesting and washback season. Local beachgoers are urged not to touch stranded hatchlings, but instead alert lifeguards or call the center so trained experts can evaluate and rehabilitate the turtles before release.
