• Gadsden County commissioners vote to end flock agreement (wctv.tv) — Gadsden County commissioners meeting in Quincy have voted 4-1 to let their contract with Flock Safety's license plate reader cameras expire on October 1, following Sheriff Morris Young's suspension of the program and a statewide order affecting highways. The move could save more than $77,000 every two years, but some commissioners worry about losing a key crime-fighting tool and say they'll look for alternative technologies and ways to reinvest the savings locally.
