$1M FL Lottery Prizes Claimed BY 2 Sarasota Residents
Two Sarasota residents are $1 million richer after playing the 500X The Cash scratch-off game, Florida Lottery said.
SARASOTA, FL — Two Florida residents each claimed a $1 million prize playing the new 500X The Cash scratch-off game, according to a Florida Lottery news release.
Evan Fried, 42, and Sandra Rmus, 54, each chose to receive their winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $820,000.
Fried purchased his winning ticket from Publix at 8300 Bee Ridge Road in Sarasota.

Meanwhile, Rmus purchased her winning ticket from Publix at 5100 Clark Road in Sarasota.
Both grocery store locations will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.

The $50 scratch-off game, 500X The Cash, features a top prize of $25 million — the largest ever offered on a Florida Scratch-Off game — and the best odds to become an instant millionaire, Florida Lottery said. The game's overall odds of winning are 1-in-4.50.
