$1M Powerball Prize Claimed By Sarasota County Man: FL Lottery

NORTH PORT, FL — A North Port man won a $1 million prize in the March 21 Powerball drawing, according to a Florida Lottery news release.

Joseph O’Connor claimed his prize at Florida Lottery’s Fort Myers district office.

His winning ticket matched all five of the white ball numbers but didn’t match the Powerball number.

O’Connor purchased his $1 million-winning Powerball Quick Pick ticket from Publix at 1291 South Sumter Blvd. in North Port. The retailer will receive a $1,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.
