Late-Night Shooting Under Investigation In Sarasota County: Sheriff

SARASOTA, FL — Detectives continue to investigate a Friday night shooting in the Sarasota area.

The shooting happened in the 1700 block of Vamo Road just before midnight, the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

There is no threat to the public, deputies said.

No additional information was provided about the shooting, including whether there were any injuries.
